Dropped my kershaw in a puddle of muddy water while working in my French drain. Now it feels very grainy when I open and close it. Anyone got any tips on getting that crud out of there?

Let it dry and blow it out with some high pressured air.

Keep opening and closing it. It will fix itself.

I use FireClean. Works like a charm.

Run it under hot water to get the dirt and mud out. Submerge in kroil or WD40 and open and close it a bunch.

I take mine apart and oil them, but some can be a bitch to get back together because it is hard getting the washers lined up. Just drop it in the dishwasher and it'll be good

Ultrasonic cleaner and/or hose it down with WD40.

if it is an assist model, spay it with the high pressure setting on your hose. then run hot water through it for a couple of minutes. slap against paper towel in your hand. set it on a paper towel to dry. when dry lubricate with graphite.
put a light coat of oil on blade and clip and liner. don't get oil in hinge area. your knife will be very quick......

I got it in my pocket now. I know time will heal it, but that grinding noise drives me crazy

cut up a pack of hotdogs with it. That will grease just about anything.

I vote "No" on using WD-40. A long time after drying it wil leave a nasty/sticky crud that's hard to clean up in tight spaces, like a folding knife.
