Mikey's donut shop has a good one. It's fried like a big donut with king cake icing on it

not in BR, but Carters in Denham, has the best I've ever had. Chocolate king cake is money.

Ambrosia, by a landslide.
Only one I've ever had that was better, was by some company at Taste of tiger tailgating. I wish I would have caught the company's name, they were amazing.

Thanks for the responses. The wife and I were craving some earlier today, was thinkin Ambrosia because I had heard good things, but they closed at 1. I'm born and raised in Lafayette, and I have my favorites there, but having lived in BR for the past 8 years I've yet to find one as good as Meche's or Keller's in Lafayette. We just went picked up a small one from Matherne's just to get a taste (blueberry and cream cheese, was actually pretty good for a grocery). I think we're gonna try out Ambrosia though, I seem to hear a lot of good things about it.
