Le Batard permanently stripped of his vote; suspended from credentials

great, Now we get to hear about how he doesnt care and that he did the right thing blah blah blah

Meaningless, the only way to punish him would be to never pay any attention to him again.

So dumb. Do they honestly think those sports writers who were beat writers for 10 years during the 70's don't consult others on who to vote for?

I think we all could see this coming

I'm borrowing this argument from Bob Costas today on The Dan Patrick Show, but we're overlooking a large piece of disrespect Le Batard sent toward the writers. He painted the writers with a broad brush and has said plainly that writers who do not vote for people strongly suspected or known to have used PED's are sitting on a false moral high horse; the fact is that, especially since we're dealing with over 700 writers, votes and reasons for votes are far more nuanced than that. The fact is that there are perfectly good reasons to leave anyone from the steroid era off your ballot, and Le Batard's unnecessary generalization of writers who do so is the kind of generalization made by a dumb arse on a message board, so I'm fine with the BBWAA treating him like one and taking away his vote.
