UAB just lost a coach to Louisville as OC Bringing in a former SEC coach isn't a bad move. HDN is the used car salesman they need and can bring .500 football. How fun would it be see a UAB@Auburn game?

The man is a 3 time SEC coach of the year.

Nutt would have it circled with a big bold star on his calendar.

Once, in 1996. I doubt that it will happen again.

Bama and Auburn have nothing to gain and much to lose by playing the Blazers. In Alabama's case, since both universities are controlled by the same board, a game will not take place. It is slightly more possible for Auburn to schedule them again, but I would be very surprised.

He couldn't possibly do a worse job than anyone else UAB's had. I'd say his career would be similar to Watson Brown at UAB, maybe better.

I think it would be a great hire for UAB.
I doubt it will happen. UAB is a terrible program.
But Nutt would bring some badly needed hype for
UAB.

I don't think you will ever see Bama or Auburn play any of the instate FBS teams again (UAB, Troy, or USA).

It is because the Board of Trustees would not allow UAB to build a stadium. It is all Alabama's fault.

Sorry, it didn't seem fitting to have an entire page of UAB related comments with reading that at least once. Even though I pull for UAB, I get tired of hearing that. Incidentally, hiring Nutt would probably be a good move. Name recognition means a lot to recruits, even if he never wins more than 6 or 7 games a year.

Except that the schools have the same owner.
