So the moving company I used basically jacked me around for 2 weeks keeping my stuff in limbo, telling me multiple stories about when it would arrive and why, broke 3 items (2 cheap ones and my kitchen table). On top of this I was charged $500 in excess of what the contract stipulated by their 'contract mover' who delivered the stuff. Basically this eastern Euro made up a couple 'charges' that had to be paid in cash before he would unload, when I protested he walked out and said he'd leave my stuff in a warehouse somewhere.. so naturally I paid.

The moving company won't return my calls or emails regarding the money. At this point I think it is a sunk cost, but may be worth while to pursue in Small Claims court. What I really want to do is just give this company negative reivews, I am thinking Yelp and a formal complaint with documentation to the BBB. Can anyone suggest other ideas short of a felony?

The company is Bayflower Moving, btw.

TIA!

One of my first thoughts when this all went down. That's what I get for being cheap.

If you live anywhere near New Orleans, get in touch with WWL TV and the Attorney General's office.

Review them on Google, Yahoo, Bing.

Can't you ding people on Angie's list for sucking?

BTW, the corrupt moving company owner from N.O. was arrested and did the perp walk --

Moving Company Owner does the perp walk ....

Same thing happened to my brother about 15 years ago. Apparently, this is a big thing in the moving company business and is widespread.

Haha wow, I'm not but sure sounds like my story. My sales rep was 'Austin' who after i began to complain to customer service, said that 'Austin' was no longer with the company.

The moving business is shady as hell. I've done it twice and both times the guys that showed up scared the crap out of me. Thought I'd never get my stuff. The companies outsource through these shady mf'ers

Pretty funny because its very clear that they have people on staff writing the 5-star reviews. They are poorly written and don't have any specifics.
