Because apparently one station isn't enough for people to get their shitty dirt road song fix.

92.3 just switched to Nash 92.3 new country about 4 minutes ago.

Was that the one that played green day- the saints are coming every half hour ?

Satellite radio for the car, pandora at the home and office. Local radio blows in this town.

Don't worry, most modern country sound like pop music anyway. You won't have rock but you'll hardly notice its country.

92.3 sucked mainly because current mainstream rock sucks, but we did not need another shitty country station here.

ETA: I don't listen to the radio in the car that often anyway, but still

They were playing 97.1 style music for the past couple days.

Are they playing Big D & Bubba? All the bitches on my Facebook feed lost their shite when 101.1 dumped them for contractual reasons. B.D.& B. promised to be back on in NOLA sometime soon but I didn't see that happening w/o a 2nd country station in the city.

I agree we didn't need another country station but 92.3 hasn't played rock in over a year. That hipster Mumford and son crap they kept playing did them in.

Why pay for radio when you've got iTunes, pandora, spotify, etc for free?
Well not so with I tunes, but still...

92.3 hit its peak 3 years ago. Been downhill since then. They had some terrible dj's.

Last time I listened to 92.3 I heard an chopped up version of Metallica's Unforgiven, cut out some of the guitar solos. I quit listening then and took it off my the programmed stations. Thats just silly to do that on a "rock" station. Sucks that Ginty lost his job and all because he's been on NOLA rock radio since the Zephyr days, but that was a real shitty station. Good riddance.
