What's really impressive is his team high 384 yards receiving. Wow!

IOWA player commments:
"Once you watch the film, you get more and more confident," said Martin-Manley, who is Iowa's leading receiver with 384 yards. "And we are really confident right now."

Don't know how good he is but he does have a point our secondary has been awful the year. I dont know why people get offended when a player from the opposing team shows a little confidence, dont you want your players to be confident? Stupid shite.....

I hope the team is reading this and getting more pumped than some spoiled members of the fanbase.

Iowa does lack in the offensive stats department compared to LSU, but keep in mind that's not Kirks style. We do however have seven players with over 12 catches on the year, with many more with between 5-8 catches on the year. In other words while not an offensive juggernaut, we do spread the ball around to many different players. Probably because we don't have a stand out guy, we just have to find the player that is making plays that particular game.

No one cares about WR's talking trash. WR's and CB's run their mouths no stop, but they're not bashing heads every play.

It is not only the player's, the fans are as over-confident as any I have ever experienced. I came very close to punching out a 50 year old, short, fat, and arrogant Iowa moron in a Tampa sports bar. He kept telling me how over-rated the SEC is and how bad they were going to kick our butts, totally unsolicited. I had to go to the other side of the bar to keep myself out of jail.

Pretending that Iowa's passing offense is underrated because it spreads the ball around is humorous. Iowa's passing ranking is 92.

Everything is relative. Our passing defense gives up the 18th fewest yards in the nation...with a passing efficiency ranked 37th. That's bad for us.

Iowa is ranked 92nd in passing offense, and 75th in efficiency.

What are you? 12?

First off, the quote was somewhat taken out of context and isn't as bad as some of you want it to be. This is over a week old and has been already discussed on here at length. Settle down sparky.

Secondly, "the fans are as over-confident as any you have ever experienced"?

Ok, sure. seeing that you live in SEC territory, that is utter BS.

Ok, carry on with your faux outrage. If this is what it takes for your fan base to get itself jacked up....whatever.
