Joe McKnight, Landon Collins, Greg Robinson, Travon Reed, Eddie Lacy, others.

Some of these loses were horrific for LSU fans, but none of these went on to super stardom. Lacy was probably the most successful and looks like the real deal in the NFL.

What say you?

The few times I've watched Bama this year, Collins has been a beast.

Robinson and Collins were way bigger losses than the others you posted. We've been pretty good at RB and WR. LT and Safety have been glaring weaknesses the past two years.

GRob, I don't think we wanted Lacy due to academics...

Robinson definitely. But we didn't offer Lacy, so I don't consider him 'lost'.

He's not the best cover guy but dude can play run support and tackle his arse off. He would've been a huge upgrade over anyone on our current roster at safety.

Recent history is Robinson and Collins.

Going back a decade or two and it is a laundry list.

We didn't offer him, so we didn't lose him.

My understanding, is we wanted Lacy, but backed off due to grades. Somehow, that wasn't a problem for Alabama.

Robinson has made a difference for Auburn, however I don't feel the loss was critical for LSU. Wonder if he still has the cellphone!

Ed Reed and Peyton Manning were the first in my mind.

But, I thought we were keeping in recent memory.

I think Landon Collins would have made the biggest difference for LSU.

There was never a chance of LSU getting Manning. I don't know about Reed, but he definitely was a baller
