Dude has kevlar armor. No matter what he keeps his job. He'll probably get another year if he doesn't win a playoff game.

He's done okay considering its Cincy. He's had 3 winning seasons in a row now, weaker division this year. At what point do you demand more though?

He has done OK...but its been 11 years.

I think after 5-6 years you have to have done better than ok to keep your job.

he'll most likely be safe, i mean it'll be shocking to fire a coach with 11 wins but i mean, an 0-5 playoff record would be tough to swallow moving forward.

I obviously wouldn't fire him this year. He won 11 games. Made the playoffs.

But I think his teams need to take the next step in the next say, 2 years.

The Bungles opted for long-term stability with Marv. Nobody thinks of them as automatic wins anymore. If nothing else, he sets the table for the next coach.

Normally I would say its suicide to fire a winning coach after back to back 10+ win seasons and a division title. But if the Bengals feel like they absolutely can't lose Zimmer then I would be ok firing Lewis and promoting Zimmer

Fuk, he has godlike status in that shithole. Does a great job compared to 70% of coaches in the league.

@JasonLaCanfora: Marvin Lewis headed to 0-5 in the playoffs and Andy Dalton headed to 0-3. And my summer Super Bowl pick (SEA/CIN) down the drain

Its Cincinatti, I think making ot to the playoffs meets expectations there so far. I think being the 3 seed has upped the e pextations going forwarx though. He'll have to come through with a playoff win though in the next season or two.

again, its political

Cincy gets a lot of pressure from the NFL to keep a black coach to hit their quotas

if he were white he would have been gone a while back. his whole team is ghetto

He should be fired after today, and they should look to trade Dalton.

Probably not, but I could understand them making a change.
