LSU moving fans into student section

LSU is getting fans sitting in the 300 level in the PMAC to move to student section bleachers. Looks like they don't want it to look bad on TV. Too bad the students don't show up to the basketball games.

Too bad most are probably gone for Christmas break and you guys aren't a top 25 team!

The student section has been pretty empty for all games this year. Saying its the holidays is an excuse.

Worst excuse ever. There are more than enough LSU students that live within a 25 minutes drive of campus that can make these games. Your not trying to fill a 92,000 stadium, it's a basketball arena. 1000 students would be good enough.

Hate the holidays excuse. Students use to fill it.
Students use to not show up during thanksgiving until football got good now it's filled.
Saying holidays means every student by 15 of them are out of state.

Last week fans showed up pretty good and only empty down low was students. It was embarrassing for the students. But same students will cry that LSU took away the mid court seats.
We weren't great in the late 90s /early 90s outside of one year and was never as bad as it gets now.

25 yrs ago students went for free or $2 MAX ! I'm sure they're charged thru the nose or have to sit in line for some inflated prices. College sports have priced out the parents, plain and simple. Money will only be dished out if a team is top tier. Call it bandwagon jumping / fair weather fan or what you will, it's the economy and $$$ is the deciding factor these days. I had all 3 (football/basketball/baseball) season tickets, now I'm down to baseball. I still would do basketball again, but football is just too $$$. Having parties at home for the 2-3 good games (football) at home is much more enjoyable now.
