How old are some you idiots?
Do you not remember being in college? Or more likely you couldn't even get in?
Christmas break is a good reason. Kids are doing other things. When they are in school, they are doing school things. When not in school, they are hanging with friends and family.

Some of you are just old farts way before your time.

I defend the students at all corners. Esp. In old people saying what to chant and what not to chant and blaming everything on students.

But if LSU was playing Kentucky do you think the students would show up?the holiday excuse acts like we don't have a shite ton of students who eat and breatj LSU football and baseball within 30miles of campus.

So pointing out the excuse just isn't a good one doesn't mean they're aren't excuses that work...that one is just lazy and not true

First off LSU is closed. Second, I never sat in the student section cus regular fans never showed up. I just sat in better seats vacated by general fans.

I think I've only missed 3 home games this season. All because of break and I'm an hour away.

Yeah cus all 29k or whatever it is now live within 30 miles if campus. The dorms are closed. We didn't have this problem when we played uconn in January. We did gave a better team then though. There are more non students that are fans living in br than students. They should show up.

I think the bleachers add to the gayness of the main student section. It needs to be chairs.

The bleachers are high schooly.. Meaning nerdy. And nerdy students took over.

Plus you just can't see shite that low behind the goal. I like to sit in the seats in the middle section. That's not a bad seat.

Students use to not show up during thanksgiving until football got good now it's filled.

It's only filled because TAF way oversells the student section for the Thanksgiving week game and gives the senior players' parents tickets to sit in the upper sections to make it more filled since so many students are out of town.

Basketball simply doesn't have enough alumni that want tickets to counteract the fact that over 3/4 of LSU's student body is now more than an hour away from campus. Baton Rouge is dead from the end of finals until mid January.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Attendance was 8800 for the mcneese game and this is with hardly any students there. The only part of the pmac that was really empty was the end with the students. Everybody around me was surprised by how good the crowd was besides the student section.

Semester break time has always equated to lower student turnout.

I was a student in the Chris Jackson/Shaq/Stanley Roberts days and during the Xmas break, there were less students in attendance.

It is all about ratio. Back then, instead of a packed student section of 3000, there would be only maybe 2000.

Today, instead of 500, there are only 200.

"Kicked out" to have to stay at mom and dad's for the break, 10-15 miles away.

They are probably just too busy right now changing words in Christmas songs to include doody, pee pee, and cooties. The students will be back after New Years.

I will keep complaining about LSU moving the student section to behind the baskets.

Bad, bad move if LSU wants the "Deaf Dome" to return.

Students going are moving to better seats plus the game was on TV. No TV in the 80's and 90's for LSU vs McNeese.

That's just stupid.
#1 lots of schools put students on the baseline.
#2 why leave the student section on the side when lsu makes a fortune selling those seats @ $800/season ticket?
#3. Students weren't coming to games anyway, so why not move it
