Let's do this. Whoever student that shows up to the game has a chance to win a scholarship, if his ticket number is called in 3 games. He/she gets to see someone after the game for a verification. Yet, the number shouldn't be called until the last 5 minutes of the game. He/she gotta hit 3 times in order to win a scholarship :)). What do ya think?

People have rose colored glasses. Back when LSU was really packing the PMAC during basketball season we weren't filling up Tiger Stadium because we sucked in football.

Also back then you didn't have to really be a student to get a student ticket like you do today. Before they started checking them against the ID.

Don't feel like reading the thread so who knows whats been posted after the first page.

I'm a student and missed this game but have made other ones this year. Every game we've been to we've said frick the student section which is behind a goal and with a bunch of oddball people for empty seats 10 rows up at midcourt

Catholic High, St. Joseph's Academy, Baton Rouge High, Parkview Baptist, U High, Scotlandville High, McKinley High, Woodlawn High, Broadmoor High, The Dunham School, Episcopal, Port Allen High, Brusly High, St. Amant High, East Ascension, Dutchtown High, Denham Springs High, Live Oak High, Walker High, Central High, Zachary High...

Are you telling me that LSU doesn't admit any students from these schools? Is it so hard for these kids to make it to a basketball game? Maybe if a STTDB chant started they would show up.

Are you telling me all those students like to watch basketball games and on top of that like to actually go to basketball games?

All, of course not. But if I turn on ESPN tomorrow night, and there is a college basketball game on, I'll bet my house that there are more than 30 students at the game. Look at SoS photo of the student section, are more kids and grandparents in that section than students. As for students moving, why don't you guys move around Tiger Stadium? They stick you with terrible end zone seats. The horror!

Too bad the students don't show up to the basketball games.

All of the students are out of school and it's a game against a terrible opponent a few days before the New Year holiday. There should be a solid crowd against Rhode Island and Tennessee.

Also, student attendance is an issue for every other team in the conference, except Kentucky. An Ole Miss alum told me that Ole Miss has free admission during the holiday breaks to all basketball games to encourage people to show up and support the team. LSU had a pretty solid crowd for a terrible opponent and still charged admission.

I can see the entire field from the student section during LSU football games. In the designated SS of the PMAC, the best seats are up top. If you sit any lower there are places you can't even see the players.

Also When LSU starts playing some opponents that aren't as shitty as McNeese then I'll make plans to show up on a Saturday night

They still offer points to attend events that aren't that popular?

They offer points to only about 6 events other than football throughout each semester.

Honestly they should offer points to every game you go to. I went to almost every basketball and baseball game my freshman year but missed two priority point games because of tests, so I was dropped farther down the priority point list than someone who just showed up on the right nights.

Good grief do y'all not understand that LSU sports are not the only thing that matters in life? Most students are home for the holidays which for me is 4 hours away. When I'm in town I go to most games unless it's a mid week game against some shite opponent and I have other priorities.

To be completely honest I don't care that much about basketball to give up hunting and fishing right now during my break to watch us play even Duke, let alone Mcneese. I guess I'm a shitty fan though since my life doesn't revolve around the LSU sports teams.

Let's face it these kids are more about partying, text messages, and video games than school spirit. It is too bad.

Of the kids from these high schools that go to a four-year college (maybe 40% of the total), most go to Southeastern, some to Southern, some to Tulane, Nicholl's, ULL, some out of state, that leads to only about 5-10% of the combined graduates of those schools of college age that are going to LSU. Still more than enough to show up for a basketball game, but most don't really gaf when we're playing McNeese and most don't care about basketball period.
