The internet would have you believe that every Playstation 4 in the world is sold out. I managed to see some in the wild on Black Friday.

I checked Amazon yesterday and all they had were the individual sellers at like 599.

The best buy next the mall of Louisiana had a ton of them. Assuming you're in Baton Rouge.

Unless you're in a big city I'm sure there is a ps4 in a store somewhere around where you live

I see 6 left on Amazon. I'm wondering if that isn't the best bet. Since it's coming right from amazon I'm sure they'd send me a new one right away if it was defective.

You'll be able to find some, but they're moving pretty quickly. Sony and MS really focused on producing a lot of inventory. Way more than either did for their previous console.

I'm trying to avoid the "we're out now, we're expecting a shipment next Tuesday" conversations and multiple trips.

Amazon, right now, is saying they are getting some on Dec. 31. If you have prime and order it today, you'd probably have it Jan. 2.
However, like most have said, call a couple of Best Buys because they won't even let you search online for stores that have them. Also, small town Walmarts probably have one or two.

I would try Sunday morning right as the shops open. Retailers are required to have stock of items located in their sunday flyer, and PS4/X1 has been in there every time.

I saw both the PS4 and Xbox 1 for sale in several stores last weekend where I live. Perhaps the size of the town plays into this?

Got PS4 from amazon, unwrapped it yesterday plugged it in and got "blue light of death". They wouldn't replace it yesterday bc they didn't have any in stock. Have to send in for refund or send back to Sony for replacement (after 2 hrs on phone). Maybe I'll have one by mid January. Smh.
