Apparently the first outright conference title in eons, and first ever BCS birth, isn't enough for a matchup vs. UCF.

After failing to sell all 17,500 tickets allotted to the university, Baylor will reportedly return ‘more than 5,000' unsold tickets to the Fiesta Bowl committee. The tickets are being sent back after the school didn’t meet its Friday deadline.

I don't know how many tickets UCF sold, but that is one of the largest schools in the country

There is a lot of drinking, fighting, gambling and debauchery that goes on during that week. Baylor folk gotta stay straight.

LOL don't care Big 12 Champs bitches.

Not surprising for a school with an undergrad of 12,500 and only 100,000 living alumni.

FWIW, BCS bowl tickets are rip off. You could get much much better seats for a lot less on stubhub.

With that being said, I bought my 4 through Baylor.

INB4 goldennugget (TCU employee) bashes Baylor/Ahmad Dixon/Art Briles, etc.

INB4 Aggy comes in making fun of Baylor for being at a BCS bowl and not selling tickets (something they have never been too).

very true. Outside of the Rose Bowl most year tickets to the other three are much cheaper than going through the school

Ohio State has sold just 7,000 of its 17,500 allotment for the Orange Bowl.

Beating UT to win the Big 12 is way more important than this. Good for Baylor fans for not buying into this. Who wants to pay $150 and travel costs to see their team in an exhibition game with literally nothing at stake in Phoenix when you just had your school's biggest win in decades?

Absolutely right, except that Aggy was in the 1999 Sugar Bowl.

Not that surprising, even big schools have trouble selling out unless it's a huge BCS game. Can't expect too many students to make these trips, it's almost a grand to just fly to Phoenix this time of year.
