There is concern internally that coach Jason Garrett and his entire coaching staff will be fired unless the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East and reach the playoffs, a team source said.

Dallas likely needs to beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday and then prevail against the Philadelphia Eagles in a winner-take-all season finale in Week 17. Garrett's Cowboys have lost winner-take-all games in the last week to end the past two seasons -- against the New York Giants in 2011 and Redskins in 2012.

Win out, or pack your bags

Hope not. I look forward to many more years of the dumpster fire that is the Dallas Cowboys giving me entertainment.

They can keep bringing in coaching staff after staff, but until Jerry relinquishes complete control of the roster, Dallas will continue to be an average/below average football team.

Only thing that's going to help is Jerry's death. There are decent players at a few positions but those jewels you find to fill out a roster are nowhere to be found. Plus the conditioning for this team needs to be examined. If I heard correctly 12 players out with hamstring issues.... 12. As much of Cowboys fan as I am, I'm not making Cowboys football a stop down for me. I've got better things to do like watch paint dry.

Would love to see Saban take over the Cowboys. The Jerry vs Nicky clashes would be epic.

disagree, I think it's only going to get worse

Stephen Jones is even more of an egomaniacal sef absorbed loose cannon than his old man. the only hope Cowboy fans have is that perhaps the younger Jones only wants to own the team and not GM so he'll have more time to chase pussy

until the Jones' start being owners and get out of the GM game they will continue to get what they have always got since Jerry thought he was the shite and got rid of Jimmy...

yeah he was GM since the start but that was Jimmy Johnson's doing with building that Cowboys roster that won those Super Bowls in the 90s with his deal he put together to trade Herchel Walker to the Vikings then getting the players he wanted in the draft from those pics...

The problem across multiple coaching staffs is the same with the Cowboys.

The problem with the Cowboys is Jerry Jones.

Why would anyone take that job? JJ is not going to leave the HC alone to do his job. He should just go ahead and appoint himself the HC and stop pretending.

He would probably love to but (I think) there is some NFL rule prohibiting that.

Nope. Without a huge talent advantage, Saban is just another coach and he knows from his Miami experience that "the process" doesn't work in the NFL.

Umm Jerry isn't in full control, it's Stevie. He's been GM since Parcells left. But think what you want. Jerry is GM by name only now.

You can repeat this all you want but at the end of the day it all leads back to Jerry.

and you are kidding yourself if you really believe that he isn't still involved in personnel decisions.
