I know the Brennan restaurants get mentioned from time to time and many are confused about the family and their restaurants.
This is a great article that pieces it all together. Even better for a visual picture is the chart that is in the article. LINK

I told my wife this morning that I was going to cut that chart out of the paper and save it. I run into some of them from time to time and I'm occasionally embarrassed (to myself) because I can't be sure which restaurants each has an interest in (other than the obvious ones).

BTW, has anyone seen Dickie's dad lately? Right after Katrina the Bourbon House was one of the first restaurants to reopen in the Quarter/CBD. I got to know "Mr. Dick" (shut up . . . that's Dickie's father) and would sit at the bar during lunch. We'd shoot the shite and he'd always comp me a glass of wine or two.

Does the old adage "Too many cooks in the kitchen" come to mind for anyone eles?

How the Brennan's Brennans screwed up a business model of 50 dollar egg dishes and milk punches, I'll never know.

I printed out the chart when this was on NOLA.com. I found it nauseating.

Must be nice to have enough good will built up with the media for them to run that puff piece. Poor Ole Ralph Brennans, just trying to keep the historical Pink building in their name so all can enjoy.

Jealous much?

Why would you purposely nauseate yourself?

So basically Pip and Ted are incompetent and ran Brennan's into the ground, while Ralph and the others were smart and expanded. Got it.

In fairness, it appears the kids ran it into the ground.

A lot of mouths to feed on one restaurant.
