Taking the parents out for a brunch after a NOLA wedding the night before. These two places any good? My folks are full on Cajun and aren't foodies in the least.

La Fin Du Monde is closed down brotha. Cafe Amelie is a good spot .. food isn't anything special but if the weather is nice the atmosphere on the courtyard is great.

Damn, the wife sent me an email for me to make reservations at one of these two...I guess that makes my decision easy.

Cafe Amelie serviceable?

It's fine. Like I said you really want to sit outside on their courtyard so hopefully the weather cooperates.

Cafe Amelie is only worth it for the courtyard. The food is decent, but the courtyard makes it.

Thanks. Open Table doesn't show a spot for 4 when we need it...looks like the search continues.

LPG has openings.

Yeah if you're allowed to deviate, LPG or Atchafalaya (my personal favorite brunch) or Patois should be it.

If you want to stay in the quarter, Muriel's would work.

for real

Gaston, I've been to Revolution 3 times: once for dinner, once for lunch, once sat at the bar and had a couple small plates. not having had their brunch, I'll say that the food there is damn good but the service is very suspect and the atmosphere lacks from being half-empty a lot of times. prices are high but reflect the large portion sizes and quality of food you get.
