Best reading material for investing?

Can someone suggest some good books or magazines for someone with basic knowledge of the stock market/investing who would like to become more serious with it?
Any good magazines/blogs that do a good job with staying on top of current investment strategies?

Yes you need to get the Intelligent Investor like everyone is saying, and STICK WITH IT. Great for jury duty, should you be summoned.

Is the intelligent investor for introductory readers or more advanced? I know the very bare basics, but looking to learn more. However, I don't want to get this, if it's for the more advanced.

It's approachable, but somewhat hefty. If you understand the basics of the stock market, you can read the book.

I'll just add to my post above, coming from an engineering degree background, the Intelligent Investor made my head hurt. It is basically a text book. Very informative text, though I spent countless hours working through the first few chapters with a dictionary and Google on stand by.
I would personally recommend reading A Random Walk Down Wall Street before jumping into the Intelligent Investor. I own both books and I have yet to complete the Intelligent Investor, although the former I completed in a matter of a few weeks. I read in the evenings after work and I still open it on the occasion for reference.

Brought this home to read over break.. Haven't been able to crack it open yet but I'm excited too based on seemingly everyones good reviews of it.

Here are a couple of online books:
Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds
And another:
Reminiscences of a Stock Operator

Even if you don't know a thing about the stock market, an initial read of it will give you a good understanding of how the system works. Then on your second read you can pickup the detailed nuances you missed on the first go-around.
Atleast that's how I did it.

I had a copy of this book in my hand at our community library last week. Instead of taking it home I put it back on the shelf. I may have to reconsider.
