Why do many have the opinion they rather have Landry over ODB in NFL?

I agree with you. NFL teams love athleticism. Landry will do awesome as well, but OBJ will draft higher IMHO FWIW TBH.

Landry all day. He's bigger, can go over the middle and get balls on third down. Probably better hands too.

Landry is also very physical and fights off coverage well.

If you're talking about lsu fans, it's because Landry was the go-to 3rd down converter.
most people nationally hold Odell Jr. as a higher draft pick.

Most people nationally hold OBJ as a higher draft pick because of stats.
He probably will be higher but it'll be because of his speed and ability to be a return man. Landry will be a better NFL WR and have a longer career.

I think in the right year either if them could be first rounders. Landry catches everything and anything you throw at him. That's a premium in the NFL. However, you just can't deny OBs athleticism. Dude can take the top off any defense and has surprisingly good hands. Will be a great return man and you can line him up just about anywhere.

OBJ is faster and maybe more athletic. Landry has better hands, but the thing to me about Landry is, although OBJ is faster, Landry is going to run his fastest speed every single time he runs.
That probably doesn't attract national experts as much as an LSU fan, but it impresses the hell outta me that, if his fastest is 4.5, I know he'll run 4.5 every single time.
