Z-Bo has done a fantastic job in rehabilitating his image both on and off the court.

a class act to the Nth degree!!! He may (or may not) have been a thug in his earlier years, but anyone who continues to call him one today is uninformed, biased or just stupid. His charitable activity in Memphis is the stuff of legends...

Thats awesome... props to Z-Bo.
And there is no doubt about his checkered past. He had his problems. But, it looks like he grew up and got away from all of that and is doing a lot of good now a days. Great to see that.
A lot of athletes dont realize the affect they can have on young kids. All it takes is a high 5 or an autograph to give a kid something he will never forget. Thats why I cant hate on Tebow . He said he will never turn down an opportunity to take a pic of sign an autograph with a fan because he doesnt want to make any of his fans hate him. Awesome thing to do.

If he were in the NFL they would fine him for that

Z-Bo had earned his bad rep with fans over a number of years, which made a lot of Grizz fans like myself nervous when he was signed. However, he has really done a 180. Whether it's his fit here in Memphis, becoming a father, or just growing up a bit, he seems to have put all that behind him. He does a LOT of charity work here in Memphis, but he doesn't go around bragging about it. There have been a lot of stories like this one over the past 4 years. A lot of personal accounts from fans who he took the time to talk to. The fans here love him because of it.

Did that kid seem a little pushy to anyone else?
Just kidding, classy move

its great that players like him make a 180, but once they have a bad 'rep' in their name it stays with them forever. Its shitty because the second they do something remotely wrong, even if they spend YEARS rebuilding their image, it becomes the biggest news on espn and other media sites. ron artest was turning a new leaf, then comes the harden KO and its tPOS and will forever be tPOS to people.

It would be so cool to make someone's day like that by simply giving them a sweaty shirt off of my back. With fame comes a social responsibility. Good on you Zach

Update in the OP with ZBo and Will's interview. Such and awesome story

That's awesome. I was never a fan of Z-bo before. Changed my mind.

he didn't even hesitate, he ripped his shirt off, like it was on fire, when the kid asked for it

I loved that little white girl constantly saying ZBO
