I know we love having fun with this Saban stuff but there really is no logical reasoning that would cause Saban to leave Alabama. So lets talk realistically.

There was that report about John Harbaugh a few weeks back. if that's real he is clearly the best possible choice.

Next you've got, in order:

Dantonio
Briles
Shaw

If you strike out with those 3 then i think you look to guys like Franklin, Freeze, etc

Do you think they would go after Smart if they strike out with a big name?

I hope they dont hire that a-hole prick Dantonio. I want him to replace Saban in a few years.

Saban assistants have been more miss than hit as head coaches so I would doubt it but who knows.

Terry Saban is the obvious choice. After all, she was house hunting in Austin.

How is Saban not a realistic option?

Maybe he wants to turn one more program around before retirement. It'll only take him a couple years to have Texas back on top.

i'd look at Mike Gundy. I'm sure I'll get laughed off the board, and I know he's OSU alum, but he takes a tier 2 school to top 10 almost yearly

You think John Harbaugh, fresh off a Super Bowl win is more realistic than Nick Saban?

how many coaches choose to leave the best program in the country to take on a rebuilding job in their 60's?

it would be like Skip Bertman leaving LSU in 1998

there was a report he was looking to take a college job. I have no idea how true that is but if so then yes it is more realistic.
