Wow....no

12 Years A Slave was way, way better. And I'm certain Llewyn Davis and Wolf/Wall Street will be much better than Gravity as well.

They have spring breakers one of the top movies.
That movie wasn't watchable at all other than the bikini shots

A movie that was surprisingly well-received by critics.

Gravity was OK. I didnt realize going in that I had signed up for 1.5 hours of just Sandra Bullock though.

Gravity was one of the few movies that I knew absolutely nothing about going in, beyond the word that it had to be seen on the big screen.

I enjoyed it and it was a heck of a roller coaster ride but I would be shocked if that was the best movie of the year. I don't see a lot in theaters so I can't be conclusive about that, however.

Gravity and Her tied for Best Picture

LAFCA and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have rarely agreed on best picture winners. The last time they did was for 2009's The Hurt Locker.

It wasn't a good movie.

Critics and regular viewers are so different in terms of what they like now a days.

You should edit thread title. Gravity tied with Her.

Gravity is the most critically acclaimed movie that nobody would want to watch again, which makes it the most over-acclaimed.

If no one had wanted to watch it again then it wouldn't have finished #1 at the box office for three straight weeks and it wouldn't have made over $600 million worldwide.

That's due to George Clooney. If everybody knew that Clooney would get far less screen time in the movie than Bullock, I bet box office numbers wouldn't have been so hot.

If gravity is the best movie this year then awards shows need to be shut down
