Passing teams need not apply. Probably not worth it
for Saints fans, even if we make it that far.
Bounty gate last year and now this crap. Two wasted seasons for us.

It's very stupid to have it up there, but this is far from a wasted season.

It's a great idea to have it up there as a one time event

The NFL's best championship game was played in 1958...guess where?

Both teams will have to deal with the weather

This has nothing to do with the Saints, bountygate, etc.

And yeah, this season is faaaar from over.

A February Super Bowl in NY IS ludicrous

Spending $10,000 to sit in the cold and watch Brees
and company play like they did against the Jets is
ludicrous.

Your post is ludicrous because you won't make the trip Hoodoo Man

I disagree. NFL's best championship game was played on February 7, 2010

Either way, I'm a freeze my ballz off watching us take that trophy for the second time

This is a useless comment that people always make. The weather lends itself to a particular style of football. It can tremendously depreciate the value of the passing game, so teams that play a certain style of football all year long can suddenly be in the biggest game of the year and have to play a completely different style of game.

I mean, thems the breaks and all that jazz, but it is absolutely stupid to do that with complete premeditation and knowledge that the conditions will likely be awful.

This isn't 1958, the game is very different now than it was then.

All teams have to deal with weather. To whine about it is absurd. No one spends thousands of dollars to attend the Super Bowl because of the weather.

Orly? 2007 Patriots say hi. For that matter the Patriots any year say hi. I'd say they typically have a pretty prolific passing game behind us, and yet they play in freezing temps for at least 1/3 of their season every year.

I'm sorry, are you trying to argue that cold weather doesn't negatively impact the passing game?

If a team wants to call themselves Super Bowl champions they go where the Super Bowl is and win it. All this bitching about the weather and the Seahawks and blah-di-blah. At a certain point the Saints have to step up and perform. Enough excuses and complaining.

Guys,

Did you forget that we have Mark Ingram? We will run the ball 38 times in the SB and he will gain 87 yds.

Well that's some profound insight...

There's a reason the NFL has avoided these venues every other year. It's not unreasonable to mention that it would be a disadvantage for the Saints to play up north in an outdoor stadium in February.

Personally, I'm not too worried about it at the moment because it is way too early to be concerned with where the Super Bowl is played. I'm worried about winning the division.

You make my point for me, the AFC representative is most likely to be a team similar to the saints

If the Saints play the Broncos in the Superbowl, advantage Saints.

The NFL knows exactly what it is doing. It has nothing to do with competition on the field. It has EVERYTHING to do with rewarding cities/states that construct new stadiums.

Stupid post is stupid.
