I know there was a thread about this a few months back maybe, anybody have any reviews on them? They seem pretty nice and the reviews only are mostly good.

Thinking about getting one for christmas, is this a must if I smoke a decent amount and charcoal grill?

Right now I use the starter cubes with a chimney, but it gets kind of messy on the deck.

I got one as a gift, and love it. It works very well. You'll have a good fire going in about 5 minutes. It'll run you $80 though.

Should do the trick. It is similar to the way I light my BBQ with a weed burner

My dad has one and we sell/sold them at our store. Very cool and work well...though for some reason he hasn't been using his as of late. Been sticking with his BGE fire starters.

No, the cord on the back end is where the magic comes from.

Yeah, that is the only bad thing I've read is that the cord I think is 9.5 ft long (I believe) and you may need an extension cord depending on your set up outside.
