Well he was comparing Florida to a one loss Michigan team. Also Auburn has played only 3(4 after Saturday) ranked teams.

Actually look up the context of these quotes before you post something silly like that.

Was it Auburn or Missouri who went 12-1 against 6 ranked teams in the SEC in 2006?

Because if neither did that, I don't see the parallel. The conference Meyer was talking about there has ZERO of the same players as the SEC today. Completely irrelevant comment.

Sounds like Saban who one year after backing into the NC game ranted about a team that didn't win its conference should not be allowed in the game.

To be fair, tSEC then makes tSEC this year look like a joke.

Completely different scenario. He was obviously speaking to his 1 loss Florida squad vs a 1 loss Michigan team. Nice try though.

Would Ohio State be 12-1 (if AU wins Sat.) against @LSU, @A&M, Bama, UGA, Mizzou? The answer is obvious.

Well, of course the answer is obvious. You can't be 12-1 if you only play 5 teams.

But yes, tOSU might lose to Bama, but UGA, Mizzou, A&M, LSU... they'd beat those teams. If Mizzou was winning their old Big 12 division everyone here would say "well they wouldn't have won a game if they played in the SEC!"

That's an invalid argument. OhioSt could have easily lost to any of the teams listed. And they probably would have. Id say they would have a minimum of 2 losses if they played those 5 teams.

That was a common line used by LSU fans in 2011 and no one could ever provide proof.
