I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of pro Bama guys popping up in LA who always seem to have a connection to a top recruit. Just seems interesting that LSU doesn't seem to have that in Alabama or any other state.

Miles signed his best class to date after his worst season. Poised to sign an even better class after three losses this year.

In the 90's when we were bad it made sense that top-flight recruits (Reed, Wayne, Dunn, Berlin) would choose OOS schools. Not as much now.

There seems to be something more in play than head-to-head games vs Bama. As a previous poster noted, LC's commitment came after we had beaten them 2X in a row ('10 and '11).

Likewise, the 2012 class signed after the SEC championship might be the worst class in a few years.

With the proximity of East Texas to the FL Panhandle, LSU should drop top 5 classes every year. He picks great talent. I think part of this years woes was that some of his talent he picked up was near maxed out in HS. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

That thinking is flawed

That's obviously how we landed Landon Collins.

No, NOLA. There are tons of Bama guys I see these days. Although north LA seems to have just as many based on what people are saying.

Very true...

I work in a refinery that seems to have just as many bama 'fans' as it does LSU fans and today all of those 'fans' didn't have their ugly arse crimson shirts or hats or flags flying from their windows

Just not true. If you came to a bar/restaurant an yelled Roll Tide, you'd get punched in the throat. The decision of a couple of teenagers does not reflect the opinion of an entire community. Lacy and Collins went to Bama so you're saying Dutchtown is a big Bama community?
