Bama will be a BCS at large, SEC Champion to the Sugar most likely, SECCG loser to the Cap One. I don't see any way we don't get the Cotton with TAMU losing tonight.

If mizzou wins auburn will go to cap one. I think it's like 98% done.

Why would a 10-2 Auburn team get passed up by the Cap One?

Auburn would go to the Cap One if they lose the SECCG. They'd be 11-2 and the SEC has a rule that the Cap One takes the available team with the best record or a team within 1 game of that team. The only other possibility is South Carolina, and it would make more sense for Auburn to go Cap One in that scenario.

Just remembered that SC went to the Outback last year. With LSU making 3 trips to Dallas in the last 3 years already, and SC being a potential return trip, I wonder if the Cotton and Outback would agree to an East/West swap this year to get some new blood traveling to their games.

Based on what? Do you think the Outback is going to pass on Missouri if they lose?

I think in that scenario you would have to include the cap one and it turns into a three way trade with sc going to cap lsu to outback and auburn or mizzou to cotton.

Either way we are going to Texas or Florida. No way we end up in Atlanta

With such a shitty east, you may be right. I know the time sucks but I like that its a new venue for us.

Would take a Missouri win in the SECCG though, right?

See rouge's thread. I also have to look more into this rule that the cotton is obligated to pass on the seccg loser if the cap one passes on them

Incorrect

ETA: see above. Cotton required to take loser if Cap One passes on them.

No way. If something sells, you don't change it for the sake of changing it.

LSU would be WWAAYYYY more valuable to the cotton bowl, and surrounding area then SC.

They won't get have the caravan LSU fans will bring. Not even close.

There is a reason some bowls always take certain teams from a certain division/part of the country.

So lets break this down in order of likeliness:

1. Cotton - If cap one takes sec title game loser
2. Outback - if Cap one takes SC
3. Cap one - would take some willing and dealing.
