I've read several posts on both the OB and TD in general that makes me wonder. People going out of there way to let us know that the did this or that before DD went mainstream.

Oh, I was hunting before DD
Oh, I painted my face before DD
Oh, I used duck commander calls and gear before DD

You get the point. Are those of y'all saying this just being too cool for duck dynasty? If not, what are you mad about? It's almost as annoying as the ones who say "I liked country before country was cool" MAX jimmy rustle :OMG:

I feel like I'm getting trolled every time someone says that. You don't need to prove yourself to me man, just do what you do.

I think people worry about it tooo much. It is what it is. So what if it draws some new folks into duck hunting. More people on our side.

You missed the: I had a beard before DD.

The show has it's moments, but I think some people just got a little carried away with the whole thing.

I don't know that I have ever used that phrase. I personally have no disdain for those folks. Im from the area, and I think they are a good bunch of people. Met them on several occasions, family did some work for them, know people that went to school with them, I idolized Phil before I knew who Willie was.

I think the people that make those comments, especially the ones on this board, are more directed at the trendy punk kids that are overrunning public lands, trying to act like the Duckmen. There has been an influx of new duck hunters since that show has made it big, and I think some of the ol timers are feeling a bit impeded upon.

I hope this answers your question

These are the people who think once stuff goes mainstream they sell out. I say they're brilliant. They're making all the money they can handle just by being themselves.

And I've used they're products and watched their videoed for years. I've got three DC calls. They're very good calls for the money and they make one of the best wood duck calls out there IMO.

Still watch the show. I still think it's entertaining and IDGAF what other people think.

I was at Bowies and saw a badas jacket. Looked on the tag and saw duck commander and put it back on the rack. Too trendy for me
