How do companies determine your credit limit?

Is there a generic formula for determining a person's credit limit on a credit card?

Each lender is going to have a proprietary formula used to determine credit limit. You'll never know how that shite works.

The mainly look at the probability that you're never gonna to give them up, never gonna let them down...

Its a mix of this and "What did those other guys give him? Give him that much."

They then just play off each other for perpetuity.
