Not a surprise but the reason I posted it is because its just the ACL and not both the ACL and LCL like we all thought. So at least its not as bad.

Maybe they haven't announced the full extent of the injury yet

That's what I'm thinking. "ACL" is just common nomenclature when describing a torn up knee. My guess is that it's worse than just that but here's to hoping
