In regards to boos:

"If you're not believing and being positive, leave," Johnson said while changing after the win. "We don't need you. Because that's what we're about around here -- staying focused, staying positive and keeping our energy going. Negativity breeds negativity, and we don't do that around here."

We should try to keep this in mind as LSU fans. Players and recruits don't like the negative b.s. from fans.

It certainly doesn't help.

I definitely wouldn't boo it tiger stadium but that dude is wrong. Fans pay good money for tickets and everything else that deals with the team and without us fans nfl guys are out of a job.

Yeah, all of that is nice.

But how does booing help the situation?

I've never gone to a college or pro sporting event to boo. Doesn't make sense to me.

Seemed like it might've sparked something in Mark Ingram after the loud boos he got against Dallas early in the game after missing an easy pass ...had his best game in the NFL after that.

It's not really good to boo, but it happens from time to time. It's a way for people to release energy or frustration (usually with coaching). It's a way for fans that pay $ to give their opinion and be heard. Unfortunately, not everybody thinks before booing. But you make a good play or change something and the boos usually go away. The nature of the beast I guess...

This is the exact reason why fans boo. Not buying tickets or booing is the easiest way for fans to show they are not pleased. Heck it's better if you have a full house of booing fans which shows people still care about the team. Positivity is always better than negativity, but being delusional and refusing to show displeasure in a product that isn't up to par is much worse. The only two times I have booed was in the national championship against bama and the Tennessee fiasco/miracle when the Vols had too many players on field and I thought Miles had messed it up with time management.

I hope you never have a leader type position that involves motivating. Just saying. Shaming people will never bring the best out of them.

couldn't agree more, cas4t. had a coach in HS who cursed and ranted and raved after every mistake. just made it more likely we would make the same mistake again because we were afraid we'd get cussed out again. i know--HS, but these are kids, and MOST kids respond better to encouragement!

Whiny arse over paid NFL piece of shite doesn't need the fans? Does he think Obama is paying him? What an entitled a-hole. Can't take a "BOO" from the crowd? What a bitch.

I don't boo at my own team, but he needs to shut his face and just play. Maybe his fans wouldn't boo if they were better.

Anybody who goes to a college football game and boos the 18-22 year old student-athletes representing their alma mater needs to reevaluate their life.

How is your concept of without the fans, players won't go to the NFL? What about the great NFL players that came from the schools that had hardly any fan support? Athletic ability sends the best atheletes to the NFL. What about the players that came from the small schools in La. What about Terry Bradshaw and Doug Williams? Fans have nothing to do with a player going to the NFL. If they do, please provide a link to prove me wrong, and I'll admit that I was wrong.
