Yes or No
If both become perennial MVP candidates, how much more popular is the NBA with casual fans?

I don't think either one of them could currently boost interest in the NBA among casual fans. Both guys play on teams that are in smaller markets and lose consistently.
I think Love could have that potential if he played in a bigger city. Playing in the playoffs would help too, as alot of casual fans will tune in during that time.

I told my buddy last night that KLove is the new Larry Bird.

I don't think people realize how good KLove is.

He's fantastic. Approaching Anthony Davis level of good.

If they've followed the NBA in the last 5 years, they do. Last year, the injury bug wiped him out, but the year before you got to see headlines like 'First 30-30 game in 28 years', and his name associated with the likes of Moses Malone.

Gordon Hayward? lol no
Chandler Parsons is better.
Kevin Love is a beast, though.

Good question...did ratings improve after Nash won two in a row?

Nope. And he was one of the two-three most popular players in the league.

Kevin love has been the best player in the nba thus far this season. When healthy, he's a top 5 player IMO.
Lebron is obviously the best player, but you could make a case for Love anywhere from 2-5 when he's actually healthy. I'd still put Durant at 2, but it is debatable. A lot of people don't realize how good Love is.

Parsons is a much more well-rounded scorer than Hayward imo. He'd probably put up 20+ ppg on an awful team like the Jazz.

Billy Donovan's been putting quality white boys in the league for awhile.
