but I am having a hard time making my "give a shite meter" register anything for the upcoming game.

I mean, I WANT to care about it.

It literally means nothing. . .other than maybe who plays in the Indy, and who plays in the Chicken Bowl.

I guess I can pull for a good statistical outing for our offensive players to help their draft position.

And I am not trying to talk anyone into my POV, just wondering if I'm alone here.

9-3 gets us into the Cotton Bowl at this point imo

8-4 gets us the Liberty or some shite

This is a big deal to me b/c Cotton Bowl is actually good

I don't want Johnny Manziel to win at tiger Stadium - that's my motivation

If they lose they will finish the year most likely 8-4 with a whopping one win over bowl eligible teams. That's pretty pathetic and it would be nice to avoid it.

But I've got myself more looking forward to Mett and Johnny just putting on a show, and I don't particularly care what the result is.

I'm certainly looking forward to what should be an entertaining match-up, but I'm not going to be sitting on the edge of my seat worrying about the outcome. I still care and obviously want LSU to win, but my "meter" is obviously lower than it's been.

Its too bad LSU Fans are at the point that a chance to win 10 Games is not a big deal anymore. At one time anytime LSU played was a big deal. I do not think another NC would help out the LSU Fans now. Its like they took the entire bottle of Prozac and it does not help anymore.

The reason you should give a shite is because of Tiger Pride. If you don't have that then I doubt you are true fan. Does it suck that all our goals for the year are out the window? Yes it does, but this is when our team needs the support of our fans the most when things get tough. It also could matter on how our recruiting year finishes which makes a difference on future years.

So if you can't get fired up for playing an up and coming SEC west team in our house with pride and possible recruiting implications on-the-line. Than were you really even a Tiger fan in the first place?

I just wish we could put a moratorium on calling it the chicken bowl.

You should take LSU fan off your posting, because with that answer you obviously are not.

The lack of motivation stems directly from the team's performance. They're not motivated, that much is obvious. I can tell you how the season will play out. We'll lose to the aggies, and it won't be pretty. We'll finish an uninspiring season with an uninspiring win over Arky that will be way closer than it should be. That's the end of you 2013 regular season.

Please don't lump all of us in with a few idiots posting on this thread. They obviously are the fans that never went to LSU. I am an alum and proud of it, and I support my Tigers through thick and thin. These are the times they need our support the most, when their backs are against the wall. The fans that are saying they don't care about the outcome or are over it, they weren't real fans anyway. And all I have to say to those idiots is;

One could argue that, but they sure did look motivated in the first 3 quarters of the Bama game. Hopefully they come out and play like that in the A&M game, playing at home does make a difference.

Well that could happen, hope it doesn't. Hopefully the will come out and fight like Tigers. Best part about it is that we get to find out next Saturday. Nothing like Saturdays and Tiger football.

Why should I take pride in a team that doesnt take pride in themselves. Are you telling me that was a proud team on the field in oxford? What kind of pride did they show at the end of the bama game when letting their qb get demolished because they quit? Is that tiger pride?

that could very well play out just as you described. would not surprise me at all with less'; lack of preparation and performances using history as a past indicator.
