smoking a 12lb turkey and doing a few racks of ribs as well to redeem myself from two weekends ago. (ribs came out waaaaayy too salty, but thats a story for another time.) I'm completely drawing a blank for what to serve on the side that will be exciting. Trying to stay away from mac and cheese or a traditional thanksgiving style meal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Hell, I'll even bring you some of the bird if you live around brightside.

We wrap a few-4 canned whole green beans in a 1/3 of a strip of bacon, putting the seam down, and bake them until brown. Be careful pulling it out of the oven since oil will collect. Good stuff.

Candied Sweet Potatoes, Potato Salad, Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Cauliflower, Steamed Brocoli with rice cheese and picante.

Steamed Broccoli with rice, cheese and salsa Need: cooked rice, steamed (cooked) Broccoli, velveeta (I know, but it is one meal in a year of meals), Medium Pace Picante Sauce. Add all to casserole bowl, add a little milk to get it a little wetter. Adjust spiciness with Picante. Cook in oven or microwave until hot and creamy.

There is a squash and crawfish casserole someone posted on here that is great. Unhealthy as hell but delicious.

ETA: Cornbread pudding
