Even worse, the folks over at Giant Bomb show that the PS4 doesn’t even sit evenly on a table.

The console not sitting flat is odd. It doesn't really bother me but I don't get it either. Regardless, this is such an amateur article.

quote:

The new UI builds well on the foundation of the XrossMediaBar, but it takes a few steps backwards with the inability to properly organize your content. PSN now supports real names and upwards of 2,000 friends, but the process remains clunky as ever. PS4 trophies still have to be synced to the server, and usernames still can’t be changed. Frankly, this is what worries me the most about Sony’s platform.

This is what worries him most?? A clunky UI, trophy syncing, and not being able to change user names?
quote:

A handful of missing features can be patched into the console down the road, but what about the core design issues with the entire online infrastructure?

Like what? What "core design issues" is he talking about? The worries above can be fixed with a future update. He doesn't list any more issues after this.

I am certain the UI will need improvements and updates. There's no argument there but this piece reeks of hyperbole.

Yeah, it blows my mind thinking about why it doesn't sit flat.

Yes, I am the guy folding napkins in order to avoid that rocking

First I've heard of it not sitting flat, in any photo or video I've seen it looks like it sits flat.

Guessing this is another rare flaw that some will have as a launch console but the majority will be fine, or this is BS for page clicks, which seems highly likely.

Clunky UI a bit expected, both systems will have that, remember the XB1 leaks about a month ago about how incomplete/buggy the OS was? As far as trophy sync, meh. Changing usernames? Is this guy really reaching that far? How is that a flaw? They announced that months ago you won't be able to change your username, everything carries over from the PS3, want a new name, make a new account.

Yeah, I wish I could get my 3 minutes back from reading that awful article and making this post.

Kotaku debunked the not sitting flat. It does sit flat. If you push a corner it does tilt though.

You know, if the anal retentive part of me wins out, I might just have to sit it up right on its side.

ETA: Just read the above posts. First thing I'm doing with my PS4 - digging my leveler out of my tool box.

I don't feel the need to provide links with something that was big news and posted on here many times just weeks ago.

The only thing I said was about the OS being buggy, google it, there will be 10 articles on it.

There was a thread on here about it, Microsoft came out and said later it would be okay in time for launch.
