Had an unfortunate tackle box accident. Most of my cranks are gone. Need to restock and it's been a while. Looking for both rock work and oxbow bank beating. Tell me the must haves even if it's just a few Bandits. Colors too.

i'll usually use shad colors, and i'll mix it up depending on water clarity...I do like the bandit spring craw color, and i'll throw chart/black back or chart/blue back in there

can't go wrong with sexy shad 1.5s, i've never fished the red, so i don't know what the bait looks like

I fish a little farther south but mainly in back water type stuff

Love these

They call this one casper but I always thought it was sexy shad. Some sexy shad in different brands have a blue back wich i dont have as much luck with but I like the chartreause and it has to have the black dot.

Red eye pearl

baby bass

Never had luck with any crawfish type colors. My line of thinking is if they are feeding on crawfish then I will throw a creature bait.

When I throw cranks on the Red it is usually a shad pattern. Sexy, green gizzard, smoke, did pretty decent on citrus so far this year too.

ETA: my go to crank is a rapala jsr-7, do yourself a favor and go buy a few.

Same here on shad, tenn, la, etc... I like the deeper running cranks like the 300 series bandits. I will buy any brand though in colors I like. Also get you some of the baby bass color for the lakes that get stocked often. I think this is one of the most under used patterns. For the amount of bass stocked in some of these lakes, that has to be a major part of their diet.

I mostly use la shad or sexy shad. Has anyone else noticed all the grass and duck weed around Alex? I don't ever remember seeing it that bad and just not going away either.

Yeah, its been that way for a month or two now at least. Must have the locks open letting all that mess through. I've seen it before but not for near this period of time.

Rode from the locks at Poland to the oxbow at the border Saturday. The amount of salvinia on the water was amazing.

That's the only way we can fight the salvania in Shreveport. If we couldn't flush the river... well just look at any of our lakes and you can see what salvania does.

1.5 sqaurebill of your choice - chartreuse w/ black or blue back.
Bandit 200 - chat reuse blue back

I throw the sqaurebill almost exclusively these days. If the water is clearer than normal, I'll switch to a shad color. I'll often have a rattling version and a silent version of the same bait on.
