Does anybody honestly believe LSU will be better next year?

I think the defense will be marginally better but it won't make up for the huge talent drain on offense. We could be in for back to back 8 wins or less seasons. If you think the Mikes haters are bad now, wait til next year.

Tired of him just sitting around in his cage while LSU goes 9-3, personally

Could be better, could be worse. The uncertainty is why we watch the game.

I don't see any reason why we can't be better compared to our opponents.

2012 Alabama was much better than this year's version but they lost once and this group might go undefeated.

Next year is gonna be a rough year unless freshmen make huge impact which I don't see happening regardless of recruiting class. It just doesn't happen often that freshmen make huge impacts

I know we will be better. Schedule is easier and our defense is going to be vastly improved. Offense is going to be surprisingly good. SEC champs.

People really do overlook the schedule next year.

LSU should at least start out 5-0 if they get by Wisconsin in the opener...will take those first few games to determine how the second half will play out, though...

I think defense improves, offense takes a dip. We don't play Georgia. A&M loses Manziel. Bama loses AJ. The season comes down to Auburn and Ole Miss for big games. It is possible to be better.

because our great coach decided not to give our backup QB any time we will be in trouble next year.It will take time for Jenning to get with the speed of the SEC

And there it is. Said last night probably wouldn't start seeing this crap until at least after the bowl game, IF they win. My god the pumpers never cease to amaze me.

A lot will depend on who leaves early. If Ego/Freak leave, I don't see our D improving that much. Certainly should be better at CB though.

On O who knows. Jennings will give us some new wrinkles which we don't have. If Hill/Hilliard leave early we could be think at RB.

I don't see a big improvement in the defense bc I think the biggest problem is lack of talent. Yes, these players will improve their knowledge of the scheme, but that does not change the fact that they are just not big/strong/fast enough to compete at a high level in the SEC. Yes, there are guys like Kendall Beckwith who will hopefully become good enough in their understanding of the defense in order to replace some of the lesser talented players, but I view him as more of the exception than the rule.

We will be worse.

We can only pray FL doesn't run Muschamp.

The question I would ask is better than what? We have lost 18 games in the last 6 seasons including bowl games. Do the math. That's 3 loses per year on average, right?

Will we be better than our average over the last 6 years and have less than 3 loses? Odds say no but only time will tell.

Lost games per season over the last 6 years:
2013 - 3 (as of this week)
2012 - 3
2011 - 1
2010 - 2
2009 - 4
2008 - 5
