I don't have a recipe with fresh beans, but if you plan to use can soup... Try the cream of mushroom with roasted garlic.

Would a green bean casserole be different if using fresh green beans vs canned?

I have one somewhere that involves mushrooms, velveeta and canned soup. It's delicious, and it's topped with slivered almonds and bread crumbs. I'll see if I can dig it up

Use cream cheese and cooked down onions and garlic.
Plus of course can of fried onions on top.

I would rather puke in a bowl and it eat before I ate green bean casserole.

Spinach madeline on the other hand. That is fabulous!

Yes, a unicorn gave it to me, but I had to promise to only share it with leprechauns.

Green bean casserole is the anti-food.
