I keep my dogs on a raw diet and recently started raising chickens/rabbits/ducks for them. Well, them any myself, but today was my first time killing and skinning an animal, so this obviously was going to them.
Not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's definitely going to take a few more practices before I trust eating what I've skinned.

Either way, one of my dogs absolutely loved it. The other wouldn't even taste her half(dumb bitch ). Up to this point they've only eaten chicken, turkey and pork. It took her a few tries before she actually ate pork, but now she loves it so I'm hoping the same will occur with the rabbits.

Gotta love seeing your dog(s) happy

Where are the real dogs? Those are indoor dogs.

Just kidding, why the raw diet?

I bet your dogs don't have allergies or shed as much as normal. I am also willing to bet they have healthy coats that shine.

Larger dogs will come when I move out of 'college life' and onto some land.

And, just a lot healthier for them. Female dogs a Wheaten Terrier and their breed has tons of allergy issues. The only time she's completely healthy is when I've had her on a raw diet, so I've kept with it.

What's going on with you?

Seems like you'd have to spend a lot of time cleaning animals.

Also, that seems like a large portion.

Be dam if I'd give a home-grown chicken/duck to a dog. My wife's boxer killed one several years ago. After I finished beating his arse with a broom he sits and watches them now.

It was large, he didn't get all of it. I let him eat for a bit and took the rest to freeze till tomorrow. And, we run a small free range pasture(on some land of a family members outside the city, soon to be my land).

The rabbits aren't currently set up free range, but they're caged with open wire bottoms. They're up a few feet off the ground so we just have to shovel up their droppings every now and then. They'll be pastured next season when I figure out the best way to go about it(probably a rabbit tractor that we'll move daily/every few days). Once we get them placed it's a pretty carefree setup.

Put that on the OT please.

I would have done the same thing.
