Is there anywhere besides whole foods and fresh market that sells organic food. I know organic will cost more, but these places are a little ridiculous. Does calandro's or albertson's or anywhere else maybe have an organic section or am I stuck with the high dollar stores?

Thanks.

Trader Joes should give you some better options when they open later this week...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. They're right down the road from me. Thanks for the reminder.

As mentioned, Albertson's does carry OG produce, but they only have some select things. Spring mix, spinach, carrots and a few apples. I think their herbs are organic as well.

TJ's coming soon.

I would suggest going to to farmer's market Thurs or Sat's to get local produce as well. Although it may not be organic, you can talk to the people about everything they use on their products and know exactly where it came from.

Alexanders MISMARKS their produce. So when you pick up "organic", don't be surprised when you discover that it's actually conventional when you get home.

Yes, they do have organic stuff, but when they run out they just put the conventional stuff there.

Thanks for reminding me I need to give Alexander's a phone call this morning.

WalMart has a small section of organic produce. Check your local WallyWorld carefully--the produce isn't always grouped together in one section, sometimes it's mixed together with the conventional stuff. My rural WM carries organic lettuces, carrots, spinach, other greens, and a smattering of org fruits.

I don't. I thought he asked a question about cheap organics...which is a question about how he spends his money. I answered the question.

ETA: Not one response has provided a cheaper alternative to Whole Foods or Fresh Market. Deal with it.

Trader Joe's. Albertson's. Walmart. All of which are cheaper than WF and FM. Deal with it.

I've already dealt with it... I personally look for cheap organics all the time and have to just pay more for WF/FM

Weren't we talking about mislabels?

I'd be grumpy too if I had to eat rabbit food all the time.

What? I was talking about produce, don't know about beef prices, specifically Amy's.

Alexander's. Are you even reading what has been said? No wonder you didn't see that the question had been answered a few times.

We do, it has a physical location.

Do the stores in the mall stop existing when the mall is closed?

Just trying not to spend more money than eating organic seems to require. I know it is more expensive but didn't want to be completely screwed just for wanting to eat a little healthier.

I appreciate all the advice.

Never mentioned being vegan in this thread. You're the one who just brought it up. Sorry you keep up with me so much and thought it was necessary to bring it up.

If you eat organic you're vegan

I'm happy you finally got to use the picture though!
