Bars/Restaurants in Denver

Have to head out there twice within the next 3 weeks. Open to any types of places (bars/restaurants/etc). I'll be in downtown both times. I know the 16th st. mall area has quite a few places from what i've seen. Thanks

meh on the 16th street mall, in downtown, go to the LoDo area, or Larimer Square
in that area, I like Osteria Marco and Rioja.
My favorite restaurant in the city is Fruition.
The only place I've been downtown was Panzano, a nice Italian place. I'd recommend it.

thanks for your seattle suggestions from a few weeks ago, by the way (unfortunately, didn't get around to them as I was all over the place on my trip ).

Another vote for Osterio here. They had great food.
There was also a bar across the street in Larimer Square called Green Russel. Modeled off a 20s speakeasy. It was a pretty cool place to check out if you like specialty cocktails. The employees even act like they are from the 20s, so if you ask for a drink off the menu and out of the time period (ie Jack & Coke) they'll look at you like your crazy, suggest something very similar in 1920s ingredients and bring it to you.
Very cool haha

Euclid Hall, and Falling Rock are must-goes. Crooked Stave also has a new tap room that you should check out.
ETA: Forgot about Hops and Pie. There's actually a cool little bottle shop down the street from them as well.

Breckenridge Brewery is also in Denver. Oskar Blues is about 45 minutes north of Denver. Boulder has a handful of breweries as well (Avery, Upslope, Twisted Pine, Boulder, etc...).

I never see it recommended and maybe because it's a chain(15 locations?), but I always stay at the Sheraton downtown and the Yard House is awesome. They have a damn good draft list(100 taps?) and Happy Hour and the food is pretty good.

I'm heading out there tomorrow morning, but won't have too much time this weekened. When I get back in 2 weeks, I'll really have to look into some of these places. I always am interested in different bar/restaurant scenes in different cities i go to (this will be my first time to DEN outside of the airport ).

Yep. They were about to move there when we went to the old one. That would be first on my list.

We tried to go the Monday after GABF. They were closed...and kind of dicks about it. We'll still hit it up the next time we'er in town.

Sancho's is the headiest bar in the land. Tons of Grateful Dead stuff all over the place, air hockey, and great music.
Quixtoes True Blue is also a cool spot. Same owners as Sancho's.
