Damn, I think my State Farm policy is only 1100 dollars after discounts

I pay an additional 500 for flood after that

Well I can tell you that liberty mutual was 900 when I first signed up 4 years ago. Now its 1600 (no claims) would be 1300 with multi discount that I had before. At the time State Farm wanted 1900.

I had Liberty Mutual auto as well but they wanted 1000 more a year for 2 cars more than geico. So I lost $700 more than I saved for the discount. geico's home owners is about the same price as Liberty without auto so I never left liberty.

I've been out of the business for barely a year, but never heard of Maison. Centuri, GeoVera, Bankers, Gulfstream, Homesite, Occidental, Hallmark, Americas, Lighthouse, etc are all the same. They all suck, all their premiums will see continuous rate increases, and if a hurricane ever does hit LA, you're fricked. Their financial stability is shite and the only reason they are in the state is for the tax incentives granted by the Commish (because he doesn't want to be on the Fair Plan policies - they come in, get a huge tax break, are forced to take over x amount of FP policies and then write a handful of policies).

I would put ASI slightly above those companies, but they planted with some terrible agents that will strip the policy down and sell you a horrendous policy.

Liberty Mutual will jack your rates hard at renewal, plus they have 2 or 4% wind deductible in some areas.

Allstate and SF both have 5% hurricane deductibles, but are solid companies.

Farm Bureau is excluding wind in most areas.

USAA is solid, but

All companies are seeing continual rate increases including the ones as your good ones and your good companies aren't writing shite on some areas and customers have no choice

The market is hardening. It was soft for 6 or so years.
