Do any of you FBD posters only buy bombers? I can't tell you the last time I purchased a 6 pack or 12 pack of beer. Craft bombers tend to be more interesting beers than the brewer's 6 pack offerings. When I go to the local beverage store, I usually buy a 4 or 5 bombers and just go from there. Do any of you do the same?

no, I buy 4 and 6 packs, but really wish I could find singles easier, because I often do not want to commit to trying a new beer if I have to buy 6 of them

Same here. I make my own 6 packs often. Especially if I'm trying a new one for the first time. There are many great 10 oz beers out there

there are still plenty of awesome beers that are available in 4/6 packs, but probably 75% of my beer purchases are bombers or 750 mL bottle though

I've gotten away from buying bombers unless its a bombers only release. usually if they are bigger beers I'm not wanting to tackle a 22oz of a 10% beer

I'll still buy just about any packaging for the right beer and right price.

Cans for tailgating, 6-packs for every drinkers in the fridge, bombers for special releases and sharing.

I wouldn't say only, but as a craft drinker, i'm always looking to try something new. And usually, that is a bomber. Especially in Louisiana. We just don't get that many great breweries distributing in Louisiana. I'll pick up a 4 pack of Southern Tier Live, 4 pack of stone, 6 pk sierra nevada or a 4/6 pack of clown shoes, but it's usually for tailgating purposes.
If Lagunitas shipped here, i'd buy 6 packs all the time. But this time of year, special releases are all in bombers.
However, i will be buying a couple 6 packs of sierra nevada celebration when it comes out. Love that beer.

Gotta try this. Everyone talks about it.

I don't buy bombers.

There is a liquor store in Savannah where you can buy singles of any beer in their inventory )which is huge).

So until I have tried every 10 and 12 oz. beer I find interesting, there is no need.

I do fill a growler from time to time though.

I buy 6 packs all the time. Usually a good, easy drinking ipa like Full Sail, Brooklyn, Lagunitas or Deep Ellum....or Union Jack.

I probably buy more 4/6 packs than I do bombers.

I have been going crazy here recently on some jai alai, founders bfast stout, and westbrook one claw 4 and 6 packs.

nope, lots of good beer still available in 6ers, esp in NorCal. Will spring for a bomber of something unusual, though it pains me to pay $6-10 for what is the equivalent of 2 beers.

I usually mix it up. The last couple of bombers I've purchased are Parish - Dr. Hoptagon, Saint Arnold Pumpkinator and Tin Roof's Ragarou. I usually keep a couple of Guinness in the fridge and Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan or some Sweetwater 420 in the fridge. I know I will most likely be raked over the coals from some of you, but I like to keep a 6 pack or so of these on hand as an easy drinking, session beer...

I do lots of bombers, mostly because the local CCB seasonal offerings and the over the top stouts generally come in 22oz and 750ml bottles around here.

Storage is a challenge with the large format bottles and as a couple of folks have noted so is drinking them all in one sitting.
