Has #31 been benched mid game for the last time?

Or will we see it for the 4th and 5th times this season while aTm and bama impose their will against our defense?

Honestly, I think 31 continues to start. We need his instincts and knowledge out there.

Ole Miss 11-18 on 3rd down conversions. Not just 31 was exposed but the unit as a whole is not to the standard we are accustomed to seeing. Throw that in with a 2012 type offensive performance and you get a loss just about every time you play an SEC team.

LSU should I ploy a defense where the other linebacker and safety simply follows #31. Wherever he is, the ball carrier will be running right by him.

It was funny in August watching Les try to build welter up as if he was some beast MLB telling fans not to worry.

Everyone not named tigrlee knew that kid couldn't play at this level

Funny everyone says not to question the coaches.

TD had #31 figured out back in the spring. Coaches are still evaluating him though. I'm sure he'll win his spot back during practice this week

If you think 31 is the problem ... then you are a Tool.

Please. So Welter is the glue that hold this shitty defense together?

As long as 6 and 28 are out there, benching 31 isn't going to solve anything, but it would be a good start.

I think he was being sarcastic. Along the lines of "good motor" "never gives up on a play"

31 is weak, no doubt. The coaches have been preparing the young guys to take his place, but obviously 23 is only now ready to do so.

Welter wasn't the problem tonight, though. How many third and 15's did they convert? But the real problem was Mett.

31 is horrible....if 23 played the whole game he would have had at least 14 tackles. 31 really stands out so I see it and poor lil ronald martin the greatest shoestring tackler of all time. He has yet to actually hit someone in a game.

Those huge conversions came to wide open players running free 15 yards off the line right in the middle of the field.

Everyone is blaming the secondary, but they played ok. We gave up something like 300 yards passing up the gut. :yak:

Our Dline is not getting the push against decent teams. Our Defense as a whole is average at best. Let Mett wing it from the start. Ground and pound only works with a stout defense. These coaches are stubborn with the mindset of pounding the rock getting our passing game out of rythm. If we spread em out whole game last nite we win by 2 td"s. They missed the boat on this game plan.

I will never be convinced that Welter is NOT the problem on defense. I understand they threw all over us...but I think it all starts at MLB. It's just like on offense with the QB...middle backer is the quarterback of the defense and he's just straight atrocious.

I recall a lot of passes along the sidelines or into 3 guys playing a soft zone around a receiver. But I guess I don't have the same hate you do.
