Went last night for the fourth time, their chef is absolutely on his A-Game as always. But, this may have been his best batch yet..or I was hungry? The joint was empty, maybe we got his total focus? Best Chinese fare in BR since MK Wong era owned Chinese Inn circa 1977-1994(Alamo Plaza and Airline locations only)..

Kung Pao Chicken..best in BR
Spicy Cumin Beef..best in BR
Garlic Sauce Eggplant..best in BR
Combination Fried Rice..best in BR
Hot & Sour Soup..best in BR

Had some Five Happiness on a Costco run last weekend, and boy it has slipped hard..Omi a much better and more authentic product.

If Rougeans don't support this joint, and it eventually goes under..I'll wish Bob The Terrible, Ole Miss sports fandom, and death by bungie bungie upon them all!

I had it for the first time last week. Completely agree. It was really busy when I went to pick it up though, so maybe it is just a week night issue.

Garlic sauce eggplant was one of the best Chinese dishes I have ever had

Have you tried any of their sushi or hibachi? I haven't yet.

Agreed, but I haven't sampled much there sans, well, dim sum, har gow, dumplings, etc..

What entrees should I try there? I know Dim Sum along with Omi, is one of the few local places that the Chinese folks(that know how to cook this fare like pros at home) will frequent regularly.

It's almost always empty when I go. Just a tough location, but I hope it picks up.

Omi has some awesome food. The Chong Qing chicken is fantastic, as is the Cumin Pork. Can't wait to return.

I got the sweet and sour pork, was unlike any other. Like huge flat oversized thin strips. VERY GOOD. Would have been more adventurous with a menu selection, but was in a hurry and needed a quick lunch. I'll be back to try this garlic sauce eggplant.

Location sucks arse! I still want to go though. I agree, we all like good Chinese food but we don't give enough effort to keep businesses alive such as this one.

I feel the same way about Lucky Palace in Bossier. Although for some reason their lunch seems to be much better than the dinner.
