Things are about to get really ghey...
Like I previously mentioned in this thread, X and Y has inspired me to spend +$350 on Pokemon cards this past week. I've purchased a couple of 1st edition's of some of the main base set. Have more to come next week.
Haven't owned any stupid Pokemon cards since a kid... do not asked why I did it, damn new games can pump you up!

Yeah.. but isn't my best card ATM.
I just have the regular base which is $60. Not buying a 1st edition Charizard anytime soon, damn thing goes for $300 not graded. My 1st edition Blastoise is the baby of my collection at the moment.

on the home menu, press the little smiley face at the top of the screen.
Also, you can just do a random trade on the Global Trade System. It lets you pick what you want to trade and what you want to receive.
I just set my haunter for trade and selected to receive another haunter. Waited a bit and came back. I got a new haunter and it evolved.

Yeah, when you do random trade with the GTS it is pretty much anonymous and one way.
Power leveling isn't that hard with exp share, exp O-power, and the restaurant battles.
I've got multiple 80+ and god knows how many in the 30-60 range (full set of 8 eevee evolutions plus the remaining gen1 and gen6 starters).

I've had no trouble finding Eevees unlike some. Pretty much caught everything I really wanted to to catch before beating the Elite Four.
The only Pokemon I keep trying to catch even though I came across and passed on it at the time has been Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam. On Route 5 or so I came across very early in the game but really can't seem to find one now. lol

I just got it as well. Haven't played a Pokemon game in over a decade, but it seems a lot better than Pokemon Black and White, especially since you can get older Pokemon that don't look like crap. Just got past the 2nd gym, and here's my team right now:
Frogadier- Lvl 27
Ivysaur- Lvl 24
Pansear- Lvl 21
Fletchinder- Lvl 23
Kadabra- Lvl 22
Rhyhorn- Lvl 19

Yeah.. seems to be the case on other forums.
Trainers who catch Eevees miss out of Abras and trainer's with Abras miss out on Eevees. We are just wanting what we dont have at the time. lol

Battle Chateau and the berry farm being so close is very convenient. I've got eevees to spare already if somebody wants one.
Also willing to trade Kadabras/Haunters/Gravellers back and forth to evolve them and give them back

I don't think I've ever done Jolteon. Usually went with Magnemite or Flaffy. I'm biased against Raichu since I hate Pikachu.
Umbreon was a go to in the second generation, but my starter will have a dark sub-type, and I've also got Water, Fire, Grass, and Psychic covered, so I'm thinking about Jolteon.
