Moving into new house in a couple weeks. I need some new cookware.
The house has very new really nice glass too electric range. I would rather gas, but wife and I have decided to keep range since its so new.
I'm thinking about some magnalite stuff.
What would you suggest with that type of electric range?

Flattest bottom cookware you can find. Copper bottomed cookware is a plus.

I bought McWare a few years ago and I really like it. It's made in China, but distributed out of Mamou, LA so it's sort of localish. It's cast aluminum, like Magnalite.

Copper bottom, aluminum core, stainless interior is the way to go.

I wish that a renovation was financially within reach, an eight lb maul and about ten-fifteen minutes (video footage available) would truly display my skills at demo work, the glass piece of shite goes in the first fifteen seconds.

My stove cooks fine. I wish we had gas so I could buy the gas stove I'd like and we don't. I hate the smell of propane and so that is out. Love the house and property otherwise.

Gas is only a few hundred yards away, so If my 401K doesn't crash another two times in the next few years maybe I can buy a quarter mile of pipe and get some gas to my house.

Oh well that will not happen - the economy will tank again next quarter and I will be happy just to put food on that electric stove.

Just lit the fuse on the new house. If I can play my cards right, I might have enough for that BlueStar range top I fantasize about.

Thanks.

It's a very intimidating process. I thought I could just do it. I sent out some request for some pro-designer help earlier. I really feel like I should get advice with this amount of design.
