Ronald Martin #26 on defense stood out to me this weekend. He stepped up when we needed him and made a great play. Hillard almost looked just like Hill. Maybe a Hill and Hillard combo will work out for us this year.

Just wanted to give them some well deserved kudos.

Martin finally played like hes capable of and was 1 of our top defensive players with Kwon.

Hilliard had 1 or 2 good runs. But the TD run he had he wasnt touched. The hole was huge. Still looked better.

Hilliard doesnt look anything like Hill. But he def looked better than the way he was early on. He looked like crap last year and the first few games this year. Def ran better saturday.

Hilliard ran with a burst on Saturday. Not sure where that has been, but it was a welcomed sight.

i didn't watch martin a lot. besides from that TD saving swat, did he play well?

a better qb would've completed that pass and it woulda been 6.

I went from being so pissed, thinking it was another busted coverage, to being so pumped when Martin came out of nowhere to break it up. Probably didn't look as great in person, but, on TV, Martin wasn't even in the screen til the ball got to the WR.

But it did. That's why it was so concerning. Glad to see him moving back in the right direction.

He arse isn't big as it used to be. Hence, the burst.

He's been hurt. He probably never surpasses Hill as the best back on the team, but when he's healthy he's still very good. I've been saying since the summer I think he has a monster game at some point this year.

He's growing into the on-the-field leader this defense needs severely. I think it was expected of a senior like Loston but that's just not his strength. I think we'll improve a lot if Martin takes the reigns and everyone knows to look at him for calls.

hilliard looked great. he has gotten in top shape and deserves some carries. i don't know what happened last year but it's a new year and the dude is a damn good running back.

Ok, Hilliard most certainly did not look like Hill. Also, Hilliard needs to hold on to the damn ball on the goal line. he is lucky that fumble rolled right to mett

Martin was better and more decisive in run support on the edges than anyone else in the secondary has been all year. We actually strung a few bubble screens, and RB sweeps all the way to the sideline for a change.

He was very steady saturday night.
