Probably Rays vs Pirates although I'd enjoy that series.

I'm sure they want Red Sox vs LAD or STL.

The Pirates would draw good ratings.

Rays are the only team in the postseason that won't turn on a ton of tv's

I would love to see the Pirates and Indians. Most markets deserve it. The Penn-Ohio Turnpike series

Battles in Youngstown 1.2 way between both

I think they would want LA or St. Louis vs Red Sox or Cleveland. A's vs Pirates would be the worst matchup ratings wise.

Of course they would prefer one or both of the major market teams in there. Its better ratings for them. As much as most people would love to see the underdog/cinderella team get in, it may not translate to a big TV number

No they wouldn't. Only baseball fans who would have watched anyway would watch. The Pirates won't draw any casual interest.

Pfft. The A's in the 90's are one of the most memorable runs I have of MLB. You're crazy.

The only team that would draw casual interest is the Dodgers. Even the Red Sox are pretty unremarkable compared to the past.

I know. And yeah the Braves would be 3rd in the NL. But it wouldn't be much of a drop. Cards, Dodgers, and Braves may be the three biggest fan bases in the entire NL

I always thought it was nuts that the Giants and A's met in the WS and a major earthquake struck the Bay Area during a game (well, almost). I wonder what the combined chances are of 1) the Giants and A's meeting in the WS 2) an earthquake hitting the Bay Area of that magnitude 3) an earthquake hitting the Bay Area of that magnitude in October 4) an earthquake hitting the Bay Area of that magnitude in October during a WS game.
