I know Chavis likes small fast LB's but doesn't it seem that we need a little more strength in our LB?
Barrow 232
Louis 216
Alexander 218
Welker 226
D. Jones 208
M. Jones 245
Beckwith 246

The last two are bigger but they don't play.

We lack experienced depth. I don't think size is an issue.

They do seem small and not fast enough to compensate.

Melvin Jones was moved to fullback.

Kwon is 1 of the lightest LBs that we have, but hes our best LB.

So, no. But, I do think we need Beckwith at MLB. Welters 226lbs isnt small, but its light for a MLB.

Our problem isnt up the middle, its the outside runs that hurt us. And we usually get there in time, we just need to do better tackling in the open field.

Jones got moved to FB; I would have like to have seen him stay at MLB. I think we are too small. We need to find big and fast, not little and fast. Perhaps we need to go up North to find some guys.

Yeah, he pretty much sucks in general, regardless of size.

We need a little more size, but we don't appear to be taking advantage of our speed. So not sure if it would actually help.

Kwon is obviously not too small, the kid is playing crazy good right now.

They weren't too small last year

I kind of feel the same way, but watching the replay of games and really paying attention to what is going on in the rush defense our linebackers can't really shed the blocks and they are not clogging the lanes at all. So maybe size is not helping the matter at all.

Haven't looked at what our linebackers weight has been over the years, but I have to believe this has got to be one of the lightest linebacker units we have fielded in the past 10 years.

Hell yeahhhh!!!!

Bama has a 6'6 Lb who looks like a damn monster. Lol. That speed don't mean nothing when it meets size and strength.

Chavis requires a lot from his LB's. Lots of one on one tackles. If they are going to be small they better be some mean mother frickers.

I think you hit it right on the head, the good def's have LB that go 235 to 245 they can stop the run and shed blockers. Our LB do not do either

Our lbers can't shed blocks a d this includes kwon. Now if kwon sees the he he will blow the play up but if engaged he can't get off just like the other guys. I see kwon and keep asking myself who is that DB until I realize who it is. Now he may be the best at blowing a play up but too many times we don't blow a play up. Our Dline and lbers can't shrink a hole by taking on a block and pushing them back to tighten the hole. And the times we actually do. Our des lose contain and the play gets bounced out
